On Sunday, October 4th
, we will take up our 2009 Neighbors in Need offering.
Neighbors in Need
is a special mission offering of the UCC that supports ministries of
justice and compassion throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
The most powerful
thing about Neighbors in Need is that our gifts are
pooled. They can have a far bigger effect in a far larger number of
areas than congregational or individual gifts. Our congregation’s
offering multiplied by hundreds means that the UCC can offer support to
millions of people. That is how Neighbors in Need is making
another world possible!
We are happy to
welcome our newest choir member, Anya Lichdi. Yeah, Anya! Now, it’s
YOUR turn! Come on, you can do it! Everyone can sing a little bit.
All you have to do is come on Thursday evenings at 7:00 and join the
fun. We need YOU – truly we do! You don’t even have to audition. All
you have to do is love to sing.

The next meeting for Women’s Fellowship
is scheduled for Saturday, October 10th at noon at the
church. The question of the day: Did you take lessons on any
instrument? The hostess is Dorraine Aggen. Come and join in the fun
and fellowship. All women of the church are invited and welcome.

The handbell choir is currently
practicing on Thursday evenings at 8:00, immediately following our
chancel choir practice. Anyone who would like to lend a “hand” or two
is welcome to come and play. The ability to read music is a definite
plus! |
